September 20, 2024 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (EDT)

Description

This workshop will discuss the best practices of online supervision and how telehealth supervision may prove to be superior to in person supervision. The key to great supervision is the focus on the supervisory alliance and the willingness to provide experiential activities during supervision. This workshop will focus in on some of the ethical and clinical concerns of providing telehealth as an intrinsic aspect of offering clinical supervision online. The intent of this workshop is to present best practices for therapists and student interns in Georgia who are looking for legal best practices guidelines. This will include how to introduce telehealth to clients, how to establish therapeutic rapport online, and how to manage crisis or other issues. This workshop will cover APT, AAMFT, CPCS and Telemental Health guidelines as well as reminders regarding technology needs. This workshop is approved for 3 ETHIC hours.
