About
About Me
I founded Insight Out Therapeutics with a guiding belief: healing begins on the inside. When individuals come to understand themselves more deeply — their struggles, their strengths, and their stories — they are able to create change that reaches outward into their relationships, families, and communities. My work is centered on walking with clients as they find that insight and put it into practice.
Clinical Focus
I provide therapy exclusively via secure telehealth, ensuring clients can access care in the spaces where they feel safest and most comfortable. With flexible scheduling from early morning to late evening, I make it easier for clients and families to receive consistent support without barriers.
My areas of focus include:
- Anxiety & Depression — evidence-based support to reduce symptoms and build resilience.
- ADHD, Executive Functioning & Autism Spectrum Disorder (Levels 1 & 2) — tailored strategies for executive functioning, regulation, and social skills.
- Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) — DBT-informed care for emotion regulation and relational stability.
- Phase-of-Life & Relational Issues — guidance through transitions, identity development, and interpersonal challenges.
- Parent-Child Conflict & Family Strain — strengthening communication and repairing ruptures within families.
- School-Related Issues — support for academic stress, peer dynamics, and behavioral concerns.
- LGBTQIA+ Affirming Care — identity-affirming spaces that celebrate diversity and empowerment.
- Juvenile Sexual Offense Treatment — an authored program with 0% recidivism over 10 years, blending accountability and growth.
- Complex & Stigmatized Histories — compassionate care for trauma, legal involvement, and other high-stigma experiences.
Approach to Therapy
I believe in a balance of affirmation and accountability. Clients are more than their mistakes, diagnoses, or histories, and my work focuses on building pathways toward healthier decision-making, safer relationships, and stronger futures.
My approach integrates multiple evidence-based models, including:
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) — for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and relational skills.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) — for restructuring thought patterns and strengthening coping skills.
- Trauma-Informed Care — ensuring safety and dignity while addressing the impact of past experiences.
- Risk-Need-Responsivity (RNR) Model — tailoring interventions to the client’s level of risk, addressing criminogenic needs, and adapting methods to the individual’s unique learning style, motivation, and capacity. This framework guides my specialized work with clients involved in the legal system, ensuring treatment is not only supportive but also effective in reducing risk and promoting long-term change.
- Experiential & Skills-Based Approaches — applying practical tools in real-world contexts for sustainable growth.
By blending these approaches, I create individualized treatment plans that honor each client’s story, reduce stigma, and emphasize both healing and accountability.
Beyond the Therapy Room
My work has always been driven by two commitments:
- To create spaces where clients — especially those who have been misunderstood, marginalized, or stigmatized — can experience safety, belonging, and respect.
- To challenge harmful narratives by building programs and outcomes that demonstrate lasting change is possible.
I continue to collaborate with families, referral partners, and community systems to ensure that clients have not only treatment, but also the support and accountability they need to succeed.
