A Song in Your Heart: The Art & Science of Curative Songcraft for Trauma & Addiction Recovery

Friday, October 31, 2025 (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

Curative songcraft is a method developed for the purpose of helping people in group or individual settings improve symptoms related to long term addiction and trauma recovery. The curative songcraft model has been developed to integrate multiple levels of healing from shame, loss, and grief. Using the basic elements of music: rhythm, melody, harmony, and form - curative songcraft engages the cognitive and emotional systems in a way that integrates the five senses to allow a healing space through musical expression. This workshop immerses participants in the songcraft process allowing them to develop hands-on experience to employ these tools and techniques in individual or group settings in their own work with their clients.
