Spirituality can be a powerful source of meaning, resilience, and identity for clients —but it can also bring complex ethical challenges for counselors. This continuing educationworkshop equips mental health professionals to address spiritual and religious issues withsensitivity, competence, and adherence to ethical guidelines. Through case studies, interactive discussion, and applied practice, participants willexplore: Ethical decision-making models for addressing spiritual concerns. Boundaries between personal beliefs and professional roles. Culturally responsive approaches to diverse spiritual and religious traditions. Strategies for integrating spirituality into treatment plans when appropriate. By the end of the workshop, you’ll feel more confident navigating this delicateintersection of values, culture, and ethics while upholding professional standards andhonoring client autonomy.
