THE PUPPET MASTERS

THE PUPPET MASTERS

Thursday, October 16, 2025 (8:30 AM - 12:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

Most commonly known by the general public as sociopathology,Antisocial Personality Disorder may be one of the most underdiagnosed issues in mental health. Most clinicians recognize APD in movies about serial killers, but this disorder is much broader than that in its symptomology and with a prevalence of approximately 4%, it is likely clinicians will see these patients at some time in their careers. For those who work in the prison setting, estimates of APD are 20%. In this seminar, you will learn how this disorder is exhibited in ways other than violent behavior and symptom management. APD individuals may or may not realize they have this disorder, but what they have in common is the thrill of using people for their own pleasure. Case studies will be presented.
