LPC Supervisor with Residential, Wilderness, and Private Practice Expertise

LPC Supervisor with Residential, Wilderness, and Private Practice Expertise

Individual Group Telesupervision

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS), I bring a wealth of experience in clinical practice, program leadership, and counselor development. My background spans private practice, outdoor therapeutic programs, and residential treatment leadership, giving me a broad perspective on the diverse challenges counselors face in the field.

I have specialized expertise in sex offender treatment, having worked extensively with clients navigating legal, relational, and rehabilitative complexities. This work has deepened my understanding of risk assessment, ethical decision-making, and treatment accountability — skills I intentionally pass on to supervisees so they are equipped to handle difficult cases with confidence and integrity.

Equally central to my supervision practice is my commitment to fostering an open, safe, and affirming space for LGBTQIA+ supervisees. I believe counselors grow best in environments where they feel seen, valued, and respected for who they are. My supervision approach integrates both clinical rigor and a deep respect for identity, helping supervisees explore their professional voice while embracing authenticity and inclusion in their clinical work.

Supervisees working with me can expect a structured yet supportive process that emphasizes case conceptualization, multicultural competence, trauma-informed approaches, and evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and family systems work. I balance encouragement with accountability, guiding counselors through documentation, ethical challenges, and clinical growth while holding space for personal reflection and professional identity development.

My goal as a supervisor is to prepare counselors not only to meet licensure requirements but also to thrive as confident, ethical, and compassionate clinicians — ready to provide high-quality care to all clients, in all settings.

About Me: : I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor dedicated to guiding emerging clinicians toward competence, confidence, and professional fulfillment. Over the course of my career, I have worked in private practice, outdoor therapeutic programs, and residential treatment leadership, giving me a broad perspective on the counseling field and the unique challenges new counselors face.

My areas of specialty include sex offender treatment, trauma-informed care, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and family systems work. These experiences have taught me the importance of balancing accountability with compassion and of helping supervisees develop the confidence to approach even the most complex cases with skill and integrity.

Equally important to me is creating an affirming, safe, and open space for LGBTQIA+ supervisees. I believe supervision should not only strengthen clinical skills but also support the personal and professional identities of counselors. My approach integrates multicultural awareness, ethical decision-making, and professional identity development, ensuring supervisees feel valued and respected as they grow.

Supervision with me is structured, collaborative, and supportive. I strive to provide clear guidance on case conceptualization, documentation, and clinical application while also encouraging reflection, authenticity, and resilience. My goal is to prepare supervisees to enter the field as ethical, skilled, and compassionate professionals ready to make meaningful impact in their clients’ lives.
